
BaroFold, Inc. was formed in 2002, by Founders Dr. John Carpenter, Dr. Ted Randolph and Dr. Lyndal Hesterberg to commercialize PreEMT™ High Pressure Technology, a patented technology invented at the University of Colorado by Drs. Randolph and Carpenter.
BaroFold’s development candidates target chronic indications having significant physician and patient demand for therapies that are more tolerable and efficacious that those currently available.
BaroFold is well funded and has leveraged its unique technology to form relationships with several biopharmaceutical companies including Genentech, Pfizer, Eli Lily and others. The company closed on its Series A institutional financing in May 2007, raising US$12 million from seasoned healthcare investors, including Boulder Ventures and HBM BioVentures.
BaroFold currently employs approximately 30 people at its corporate headquarters and laboratory in Boulder, Colorado.
